T.I. sets record with “Whatever You Like”

Things are looking up for T.I. and his upcoming album Paper Trail. He has made Billboard history with his latest single “Whatever You Like,” by leaping 70 spots to reach the No. 1 chart in just three weeks. According to Billboard, the hit song has jumped to the top position in record time. This marks his first ever No. 1 single and his opening-week digital total (205,000 downloads) is reportedly the best from a hip-hop song since SoundScan began gathering download data in 2003.

If your not up on the whole T.I & Shawty Lo beef. Shawty Lo is trying to expose T.I , claiming T.I is not from Bankhead. On a recent interview with Bankhead he asked for someone to show T.I's HS pic to prove. Well One of our readers who explained they would like to be remained anonymous sent us T.I's high school photo. This is a response to Shawty Lo's video statement on the reward for T.I's high school photo. The anonymous sender explained this "T.I's high school is in Riverdale in Clayton County, (Outskirts Of ATL). It is not close to Bankhead at all this place where you would probably want to move to get away from the trap. Bankhead is westside the city clayton county (southside) is where riverdale is it is 30 or more mile away from the city of Atlanta". Regardless of all this we are still huge fans from both camps. So here it is. Is T.I really from Bankhead? You be the judge.

T.I. Leaks New Track Off Paper Trail Next Tuesday

T.I says new song was not to be leaked

T.I has addressed the new song that has been known as "Hunt Em Down," saying the track was never supposed to be leaked and is not a part of his upcoming album "The Paper Trail."

“I just wanted to say to you myself that the record that has been leaked, I think yall are calling it "Hunt Em Down", when I did it, it was called "Got It Now"- It is an unwarranted, unauthorized release," T.I. said. “It is not a Paper Trail selection, it is not of the same standards and the same quality as the records that I’m doing right now so I don’t want anybody to get it misconstrued that that’s the first single.”

"Do not be fooled. It was actually the first song recorded after the big homie Philant died,” T.I. continued. “So there was a lot of rage, a lot of anger and a lot of frustrations on that record. It was never even meant to be released.”

T.I busy working on new album "Paper Trail"

Despite being under house arrest while he awaits trial on gun possession charges, T.I says he has recorded at least 50 songs for his sixth album, "Paper Trail", according to MTV News.

"It's a lot of bullsh-- out right now," T.I told MTV via phone. "I'm not gonna front. I feel it's definitely about time for somebody to come back out and kick this thing back in gear. The rotation is suffering right now. I intend to do something about it. It's just a matter of when."

T.I stressed that one record in particular, "Let My Beat Pound," will definitely make the album.

"That's gonna be a big record," Tip said. "It's a different record. It's a record I approached differently, and it don't sound like a typical T.I. record. It's basically about when you got your first car, one of the first things was to make sure your [sound] system was right. The love for the boomin' system. It has the sentiments of LL Cool J's 'Boomin' System,' but it kind of sounds like a Sir Mix-A-Lot [song]. It's kinda got the mood and tempo of 'Posse on Broadway,' but it's outta here."

T.I. Out On Bail For 3 Million Dollars

Grammy Award-winning rapper T.I. walked out of a federal court on $3 million bond on Friday two weeks after he was arrested in a weapons case that could see him jailed for 30 years.

“You are going to be under home incarceration that is going to be governed by an active GPS (Global Positioning System) at your cost,” Baverman told T.I., warning him not to have any contact with potential witnesses in the case.
